Ingredients for the churros

  • 250 ml water
  • 120 g butter (previously store for some time at room temperature)
  • 1 Pinch of salt
  • 4 EL sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Liter oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar to serve

Ingredients for the plum compote

  • 500 g plums, pitted and cut into pieces
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Half a mango

 

Utensils

  • Two large pots with lids
  • Plate
  • Small bowls
  • Dusting sieve
  • Hand mixer
  • Gripping tongs to get the churros out of the oil
  • Star nozzle for shaping the churros dough
  • Kitchen paper for draining

Preparation of the plum compote

  1. Put the plums, sugar, cinnamon stick and star anise in a pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Let them boil low heat for 15 minutes keep the pot closed

  3. Remove the cinnamon stick and star anise and let the compote cool.

  4. Blend the cooked mixture together with the lemon juice and mango.

Arrangement of the churros
