A new recipe video in cooperation with the YouTube channel of super nice and cooking Mexican Rarotonga, we present you this time the recipe of an iced Agua de Jamaica - a hibiscus blossom iced tea, the main ingredient of which you can buy from us. The drink is prepared super fast.

You ll need the following ingredients

 

  • 1 Liter still water
  • 2 Tablespoon cane sugar (can be more or less to taste).
  • Ice cubes
  • As utensils a pot, a jug, a strainer and a spoon

     

    Preparation of the Agua de Jamaica

    Get ready a pot, a strainer, the ice cubes and a pot, as well as the ingredients.

    1. Boil one liter of water.

    2. Add hibiscus flowers and reduce flame / heat to minimum, simmer for 10 minutes.

    3. Allow to cool.

    4. Approx. 500 ml. Pour water into a pot and dissolve cane sugar in it.

    5. Pour the contents of the pot through a sieve into the pot, so that only the liquid enters the pot and the water turns a deep red. If necessary, fill the pot with a little more water and stir.

    6. Add ice cubes.

    7. Serve after further chilling, if necessary.
