Discover an authentic Mexican treat with our huaraches (corn cakes/fritters). They are called huaraches because they are reminiscent of the sandals you wear on your feet, which are also called huaraches in Mexico. Enjoy the typical Moctezuma taste and texture of these Mexican corn flatbreads. A huarache simply offers more surface area than a tortilla and you can place a lot of food on it for the big appetite.

With a pack of 10 pieces and 610g content, you have a good portion. The huaraches are just as versatile as the tortillas. Use them as your canvas for culinary creations. You will probably be looking in vain for huaraches in normal supermarkets for a while yet.

Attention: This product is in cold storage (refrigerator temperature), but due to the cold shipping in a bag it is edible, but should be stored in your refrigerator or freezer if you do not consume it immediately after delivery. The product is not normally dispatched on Fridays so that it does not arrive too late. Due to our storage, the product - like many other products - is usually still edible beyond the best before date. For this reason, we may continue to sell the product for a certain period of time at reduced prices under the best-before date labeling and advise our customers to look, smell and taste it, thereby joining initiatives against food waste.

Exceptionally no shipping 02.08. to 05.08.2024, orders still possible. In Germany approx. 1-3 working days, to other EU countries approx. 3-7 days delivery time. Products stored in refrigerator or freezer temperatures are shipped only from Monday to Thursday or max. two days before weekends extended by holidays. Recipe

1. place the huaraches in a hot pan, heat them for 10-20 seconds on each side and turn them over 2-4 times.

2. they are ready for you to eat when they become soft and flexible or puff up slightly.

3. place the huaraches in a folded clean towel/dishcloth/fabric towel, tortillero or closed container to keep them warm.

4. during your meal, remove the huaraches one by one and top with your meat/meat substitute, vegetables and add salsa/sauce or other ingredients. Enjoy your meal!

Tips

Store at a temperature of up to 6°C. Once opened, store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days. Can be frozen for longer shelf life.
