Only the contents of a single barrel are used here (single barrel rum). Such bottlings are usually limited editions. This Villa Rica is one of the truly old and matured products of premium quality.

Its home is Mexico, where several good rum brands are based on the Caribbean coast, although Mexico is of course much better known for tequila and mezcal. The company's stocks originally came partly from Orizaba, but also migrated to Veracruz and Cordoba.
