Traditionally baked with sea salt and sugar-free, Charras corn tostadas (as horneadas tradicional) are a popular base for various toppings that should not be missing on your table. Without artificial flavors. Gluten free. Sugar free. Kosher. Halal.

Like their deep-fried counterparts, they are delicious, crispy and natural. The real Mexican taste that goes perfectly with your dishes. And without fat.

You can try them like normal tortillas with a variety of vegetable or meat toppings or as an accompaniment to soups and stews. Many Mexicans also simply spread creme fraiche or bean puree on the tostadas or eat them plain. Tostadas de Tinga with plucked chicken are also popular. See recipe below.

Recipe

You can try them like normal tortillas with all kinds of vegetable or meat toppings. Many Mexicans also simply spread creme fraiche on the tostadas or eat them plain.

Tostadas de Tinga:
- Spread tostadas with bean puree
- Plucked chicken in spicy tomato/chili sauce on top
- Top with some iceberg lettuce cut into strips and finish with some crème fraiche and shepherd's cheese
- Drizzle with some chili sauce, e.g. Salsa Verde from Herdez, if desired

Tips

Tip: They can be heated in the oven.
