Huevos Divorciados
(translated roughly "Divorced Eggs", because of the opposing sauces).
This traditional Mexican breakfast is for those who love their eggs with salsa, but can't decide between red salsa and green salsa. It's the perfect combination with the misleading name!
Ingredients
- 3 corn tortillas, warmed up
- 3 tablespoons refried black beans, warmed
- 2 eggs, fried
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons HERDEZ® Salsa Casera
- 2 tablespoons HERDEZ® roasted salsa verde
- Queso Fresco, to taste
- Chopped cilantro, to taste
Preparation
1. arrange tortillas on individual plates. Spread black beans on tortillas. Spread one side of black beans with HERDEZ® Salsa Casera and the other side with HERDEZ® Roasted Salsa Verde.
Gently slide fried eggs over the salsa. Season with salt and pepper. 3.
Garnish with Queso Fresco and chopped cilantro, if desired. -

Store in a cool, dry place before opening.
