Don Zabor
Ponche / Punch with fruit from Don Zabor 150g
Spicyness:
Ponche is a traditional Mexican hot drink that is somewhat different from the typical German Christmas punch due to its fruit selection. Ponche is usually consumed in Mexico from the pre-Christmas season until the Epiphany on the sixth of January. These pre-Christmas celebrations usually feature piñatas, ponche and religious chants. In general, posadas are a time of joy and togetherness with family. Enjoy the traditional Christmas punch with this blend of dried fruits and spices from Don Zabor. All the fruits of the Christmas punch are ready in the mixture to prepare this warming drink that also brings a high vitamin C content with its variety of fruity contents.

Recipes
PREPARATION OF THE WINE PUNCH
1. fill a medium saucepan half full with water and bring the water to a boil.
Add the ingredients from the punch mixture to the water, keep the water simmering and stir occasionally. You will quickly get the Christmas fruity smell in your nose.
Allow the fruit to rise. After about 15 minutes, the dried fruit should be almost fully absorbed. 4.
4. like to wait a little longer so that the flavor fully develops in the water and let the rest of the punch continue to simmer after the first cup served, in Mexico the ponche stands warm for hours.
5. take some fruits (also the sticks) with a grabbing tongs or a big fork and put them in a big cup. After that, take the punch water with a ladle and put it in the cup too. It is better to do it in that order, because otherwise the fruits can plop into the water and cause splashes. ;)
6. the fruits can be fished out of the punch alternately with your sips from the cup with a fork or a small skewer. If the taste is not sweet enough for you, feel free to sweeten with some honey or sugar.
Enjoy your punch slowly with your loved ones and let everything simmer. -
