Pollo a los Tres Chiles is a refined Mexican taco meat preparation with chicken and different types of chilies that is part of the traditional home cooking and especially of the menus of the fondas. Although its origins are obscure, there are known recipes from colonial times in convents in Puebla and Queretaro. One package is enough for a taco meal for two. Itacate brings you a ready-to-eat taco preparation at home. They can be heated up in the microwave or pan in just a few minutes and serve as a juicy topping for your tortas or tacos. The marinated preparation keeps the meat edible for a long time and does not need to be refrigerated or only after you open the bag.

Recipe

Only heat in a pan over medium heat for about 8-12 minutes, do not let the heat dry them out too much.

At the same time, heat the tortillas - Masamor tortillas are recommended - in a second pan (leave in for about 2-3 minutes).

Keep the meat warm, wrap the tortillas in a towel or tortilla warmer, and gradually spread the meat on the tortillas. In addition - typically Mexican - cilantro, chopped onion, lime juice and various salsas / sauces from our store are suitable.

Tips

Long shelf life unopened. Once opened, consume in max. 2 days. Product does not require refrigeration. Due to the packaging process and marinade it keeps at room temperature.
