Spicyness:
Dried Jamaica / Hibiscus flowers from Colima in Mexico. In Central America people use Jamaica as an ingredient for soft drinks or for hot infusions, also for making jams, candies or syrups. In Mexico, it is very popular to drink the cold infusion with food, known as Agua de Jamaica (translated as hibiscus water). Because of its taste and price, it is considered the healthiest drink in Mexican gastronomy. The flowers, after being boiled, are also prepared steamed with tortillas (hibiscus tacos), which with their exotic taste conquer even the most demanding palates and can be tried especially by vegetarians / vegans.
