This special Don Julio 1942 Tequila comes to you in a gift box. Don Julio 1942 Tequila is an iconic and high-quality tequila that is celebrated in exclusive cocktail bars, restaurants and nightclubs around the world and is the first choice of many connoisseurs. It is produced in small batches and is aged for at least two and a half years, which technically places it between Añejo and Extra Añejo.

Don Julio Gonzales is a legend in the tequila world. He began his career at the very young age of 10 when he joined his uncle José's distillery, where he learned the ropes. After the death of his father at the age of 15, he took on the role of provider for his family and founded his first own distillery at the age of 17. His in-depth knowledge of tequila production was impressive even at a young age.

His second station was called Tres Magueyes and it was founded in 1942 by Don Julio himself, although he was not even of legal age by our standards. The distillery still produces Don Julio tequila today. While tequila is mainly sold in Mexico under the Tres Magueyes brand, the higher quality Don Julio is exported abroad. The tequila is distilled twice and  handcrafted.

Taster notes describe an amber color, sweet aromas of vanilla, nuts, almonds, caramel and chocolate on the nose, accompanied by hints of cinnamon and oak. On the palate, it presents roasted agave, vanilla, oak, caramel, toffee, caramelized cherries and hints of tropical fruits and spices. The finish is long-lasting and characterized by a rich vanilla taste.
