To produce the premium Casamigos Añejo Tequila, 7-9 year old Blue Weber agaves are used, sourced from the rich clay soils of the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave piñas are roasted for 72 hours in traditional brick ovens, while most others steam their agaves for 7 hours. The unique flavor is the result of an extra slow fermentation process. Even George Clooney has been involved in advertising the Casamigos brand - but besides the advertising face, there are a few data parts, that make the tequila special.

A special yeast mixture is used, unlike the commercial yeasts, it gives a uniform, delicate flavor. Rich soft caramel with vanilla. Matured for 14 months in high quality American white oak barrels, other brands' Añejo Tequilas are usually only guaranteed to mature for 12 months. The finish is long lasting smooth.

Recipe for AÑEJO NEW FASHIONED Cocktail

- 1.5 parts Casamigos Añejo Tequila
- 1 teaspoon or 1 bar spoon agave nectar
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 2 dashes Angostura® Bitters

Orange peel wrapped around a Luxardo® cherry and placed on a skewer

Mix all ingredients in a glass blender.

Add ice, stir well for 30-40 seconds and strain into a small glass with ice cubes.

Add a large ice cube or small ice scoop and garnish.


Store in a dry and cool place.
Best served well chilled.
